Benfica still pursuing Ibrahima Ba, Famalicão want around 15 million euros | OneFootball

Benfica are keeping Ibrahima Ba on their list of centre-back targets to bolster Marco Silva's squad, with a possible António Silva departure meaning further reinforcement may be required.

According to Glorioso 1904, the 21-year-old Senegal international at Famalicão has renewed his contract until 2030 and the club will only entertain talks at around 15 million euros.

Ba has also drawn interest from Sporting and several foreign sides, yet he remains part of Carlos Carvalhal's plans.

Benfica recognise any pursuit would be complicated, as the new deal strengthens Famalicão's stance and there is no appetite to negotiate below the stated figure.

For now, the Lisbon side are monitoring developments without making a concrete move, while the Rui Costa-led hierarchy keep alternative defensive options under review.
