Benfica ‘to demand’ €35m for Amar Dedic | OneFootball

Record writes that Benfica would only sell right-back Amar Dedic for a minimum €35m, as Newcastle explore a deal.

The Premier League club have opened talks with the Lisbon side about the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.

A €35m sale would be their third costliest outgoing for a full-back, behind Nélson Semedo at €35.7m and Álvaro Carreras at €50m.

Newcastle's interest also reflects Dedic's link to head coach Matthias Jaissle, who worked with him at RB Salzburg, which could shape the player's choice.

Benfica signed Dedic about a year ago for around €12m, he is contracted until 2030 and the club are not set to ease negotiations.

In 2025/26 he played 43 matches, 24 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, one in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça.

Across 3,511 minutes he recorded one goal and four assists.
