Benfica ‘to demand’ €35m for Amar Dedic as Newcastle pursue deal | OneFootball

Benfica are holding firm in talks with Newcastle over Amar Dedic, valuing the right-back at €35m. A BOLA reports that Newcastle are prepared to lift their offer to €30m, which still falls short.

The 23-year-old Bosnia international is open to a Premier League move, but there is no agreement between the clubs. At this stage Benfica are not accepting a €30m plus bonuses proposal that could later reach €35m.

A €35m sale would deliver a major windfall for Benfica only one year after signing Dedic from Salzburg for €10m, with a possible extra €2m in add-ons.

Newcastle’s interest is also reinforced by Dedic’s past with Matthias Jaissle, now the club’s head coach, who previously managed him at Liefering and Salzburg.
