According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica will monitor Famalicão midfielder Mathias de Amorim throughout this season, with a possible 2027/28 addition under consideration.
Head coach Marco Silva and president Rui Costa will observe the 21-year-old across the campaign.
Benfica explored moves in recent windows, but a deal did not materialise. Famalicão, who finished fifth in the Primeira Liga last season, have sought around 20 million euros.
The Lisbon club have not dropped their interest in the Portuguese-French midfielder.
His intelligent build-up, strong technique, driving ball progression, sharp reading of midfield spaces and growing threat arriving in finishing areas have impressed.
In 2025/26 he played 33 matches for Famalicão, 30 in Liga Portugal Betclic and three in the Taça de Portugal, totalling 2,634 minutes, with five goals and two assists. He is valued at 10 million euros.
