Gianluca Prestianni has earned another Argentina call-up after a flying start to the season with Benfica. According to Glorioso 1904, the 20-year-old winger is in Lionel Scaloni’s squad for three friendlies across late September and early October, the final game planned as Lionel Messi’s Argentina farewell.

Argentina face Bolivia on 30 September in Córdoba, then Burkina Faso on 3 October and Benin on 6 October, with the last two fixtures in Buenos Aires at Más Monumental.

Prestianni was left out of the 2026 World Cup squad and his participation was also affected by a punishment following a controversy involving Vinícius Júnior, which limited his involvement in that competition.

Messi, Rodrigo De Paul and Giovani Lo Celso will be available only for the Benin match, while Prestianni could feature in all three.

The call-up marks another step in a campaign where, under Marco Silva, he has carved out a prominent role at Benfica.
