Benjamin Sesko says he is improving with every training session since completing his transfer to Man Utd, adding that the level is “much higher” in England.
The striker joined the Red Devils from RB Leipzig on a five-year contract this summer, moving for a guaranteed fee of £66.3 million, with £7.36 million in performance-related add-ons.
Sesko scored 39 goals in 87 appearances in all competitions for Leipzig, the most of any player under the age of 23 over the past two seasons.
Despite the huge fee United paid to sign him, Ruben Amorim is yet to start the forward in the Premier League, although he has been involved in all three of their matches so far.
Speaking to the media at a meet and greet with fans while on international duty with Slovenia, Sesko said his teammates are better than the ones he had at previous clubs.
“The level of the matches is certainly much higher, the players and teammates are also at a higher level,” he said.
“After all, English football is at the highest level in the world of football.
“But I am very much looking forward to the coming period, also because I am getting better and faster in every training session, and I am also progressing in my football mentality every day.”
Slovenia entertain Sweden in a World Cup qualifier on Friday evening, before travelling to Switzerland on Monday.
