Queens Park Rangers beat Hull City 3-1 in Hull on Saturday to climb from 13th to 10th in the Championship.

Paddy McNair put through his own net in the 21st minute to hand the visitors the lead, then Joe Gelhardt swept in the equaliser (39.).

After the restart, Joe Walsh tipped away McNair's low effort (51.) as Hull pressed for a second.

Substitute Daniel Bennie entered (80.) and quickly drove in from outside the box (84.) to restore Queens Park Rangers' advantage. Eight minutes were added. Richard Kone settled it in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time with a composed finish from the centre of the area.

Queens Park Rangers put eight shots on target from 12 attempts. Hull saw 59.2% possession but registered four efforts on target.

Hull host Derby next. Queens Park Rangers visit Southampton.
