According to L'Équipe, Nice forward Bernard Nguene is set to join Standard Liège on loan with an option to buy, with confirmation expected on Friday.

The 19-year-old Cameroonian has been used sparingly at Nice, with six Ligue 1 appearances this season, and the club are not opposed to his departure.

Standard, currently sixth in the Jupiler Pro League, are also working on a move for Teddy Teuma.

The 32-year-old attacking midfielder is under contract with Reims until 2027 and has rejected an extension.

A former Union Saint-Gilloise player from 2019 to 2023, he hopes to return to Belgium on a free, which hinges on an amicable contract termination.

This season he has scored four goals in 16 Ligue 2 matches.
