Bertrand Traoré is assessing his options after leaving Sunderland earlier this summer. According to Sunderland Echo, interest in the 30-year-old is growing after the club chose not to trigger an extension.
Traoré became a regular in Régis Le Bris's side following a deadline day switch from Ajax last summer. His momentum stalled when he was injured at the Africa Cup of Nations. He returned as a substitute at Elland Road against Leeds United, suffered a recurrence, and did not play again.
FC Porto have made an enquiry. The Primeira Liga champions will be in the Champions League this season, and Traoré knows head coach Francesco Farioli from their time together at Ajax.
Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia and Ligue 1 club Nice have also asked about him. The interest has not progressed at this stage, while several Premier League sides are monitoring the situation.
Sunderland are pursuing a new right winger. AS Roma Matías Soulé is one of a number of potential targets.
