According to Florian Plettenberg, Beşiktaş have agreed to sign FC Augsburg centre-back Felix Uduokhai.
It had previously been reported that the 26-year-old was garnering significant attention from another Bundesliga side.
With Eintracht Frankfurt stating their interest in luring Uduokhai away from Bavaria as a replacement for Willian Pacho, who departed for PSG, a deal for the defender to leave Augsburg appeared likely.
However, Beşiktaş have acted quickly to negotiate a deal with Jess Thorup’s side.
It is understood that Beşiktaş will pay Augsburg €5.3 million, with a further €2 million in potential future add-ons.
As well as this, the Fuggerstädter have been able to negotiate a 20% sell-on clause in the deal, a remarkable piece of business considering the 26-year-old only had one year remaining on his contract.
It is expected that Uduokhai will travel to Turkey on Monday in order to complete his medical and sign the contract as he looks to start a new chapter in his career.
