Besiktas ‘enquire’ about Grêmio’s Gustavo Martins | OneFootball

Besiktas of Türkiye have made an enquiry to gauge the terms of a possible deal for 23-year-old Grêmio defender Gustavo Martins, Rádio Gaúcha reports.

The club contacted the player’s representatives to assess whether a bid is feasible, with a signalled fee of about three and a half million euros, R$ 22.7 million.

Grêmio consider that figure low and, given hopes for his involvement next season, would only agree to a much higher sum.

The initial asking price is at least six million euros, R$ 39 million. Internally, there is a view that, with coach Luis Castro arriving, he could get a sustained run and grow his value.

Martins is under contract until December 2027. The club have fielded enquiries since 2024, but no deal was struck amid expectations of greater sporting and financial returns ahead.

A senior squad regular since 2023, he enjoyed his busiest campaign in 2025, featuring in 33 matches and scoring five goals.
