Besiktas have informed Benfica they are ready to pursue a deal worth around 35 million euros for Vangelis Pavlidis. According to Glorioso 1904, the Türkiye side remain keen on the Greek striker.
Despite contact between the clubs, no formal proposal has been lodged for the forward.
Benfica’s hierarchy, led by Rui Costa, are not inclined to sell at that price, with the centre-forward viewed as important for the start of the new season.
Besiktas are prepared to offer a salary far above his current terms at Benfica, close to doubling his pay. Pavlidis has repeatedly indicated that finances have not dictated his career choices.
In 2025/26 with Benfica, Pavlidis, valued at 28 million euros, played 53 official matches, 33 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. He totalled 4,244 minutes, scoring 30 goals and providing five assists.
