Milliyet reports that Besiktas have submitted an offer to sign Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu on loan with an option to buy. The report also says City are considering the proposal and that, if they turn it down, the Black Eagles would return with a €15m bid for the 22-year-old, while they push hard for wing reinforcements and eye Jadon Sancho after his release from Manchester United.

Fatawu is currently with Ghana at the World Cup. Their schedule begins against Panama on Wednesday, 17 June, then England on Tuesday, 23 June and Croatia on Saturday, 27 June.

The winger was integral to Enzo Maresca’s side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2024. His influence in the top flight was curtailed by a serious injury and he struggled for consistent impact last season.

He is expected to be one of several players sold to help City finance their bid to win promotion from League One.

Fellow winger Jeremy Monga is a target for Arsenal.
