Leicester City centre-back Caleb Okoli is attracting summer interest, with Fiorentina linked after back-to-back relegations left the club in League One. He joined from Atalanta in 2024 for about £13m.
Gazzetta suggests Fiorentina are pursuing a move for the 24-year-old and also tracking Burnley winger Luca Koleosho. The Florence club are said to prioritise an Italian core for 2026/27.
The report says sporting director Fabio Paratici and general manager Alessandro Ferrari have travelled to New York to meet president Giuseppe Commisso. They aim to set summer plans, with Okoli on the shortlist. Formerly of Atalanta, SPAL, Cremonese and Frosinone, he has 101 appearances in Italy and is valued at €10m (£8.6m).
Interest from Serie A has been building since January, with Bologna and Cremonese previously linked. Okoli received three Italy call-ups during his Leicester spell but did not feature in the Nations League and has not been selected since.
Leicester’s defensive reshuffle could be extensive, with Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard also expected to move on. Ben Nelson has been linked with Manchester United, while leading Championship sides are monitoring him. Okoli and Nelson are regarded as City’s most valuable defenders, so early moves may suit Leicester.
