RBS Women face Neulengbach with championship group at stake

The showdown is upon us! The ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga regular season draws to a close, and Dusan Pavlovic's team still have a chance of securing a top-four finish. To achieve this, they must first and foremost fulfill their own duty when they travel to Wienerwaldstadion on Saturday at 14:00 CET to face USV Neulengbach.

The gap to our main rivals, SCR Altach, shrank from six to three points last week. Since our team have the better head-to-head record, the Vorarlberg side – should Lucia Orkic and her teammates continue their winning streak – will be under considerable pressure and will need to secure points in their home game against SK Sturm Graz on Sunday. If the results from the first meeting of the season are repeated, our FC Red Bull Salzburg women would achieve the sensation of making the top four - as we won the first encounter 3-1 in October. At the same time, remaining in the qualification group wouldn't be the end of the world, as our team would start the final round as group leaders.

Stadium DJ kept quiet

The former serial champions from the Vienna Woods have had a sluggish start to the current year, losing each of their three league matches so far in 2026 by a single goal and managing only one home win this season. Remarkably, the goal anthem of the Black and Whites was last played at the beginning of October, and only three times in total. Whether our Salzburg women will score a goal on Saturday and therefore put Altach under pressure the following day can be seen live on ÖFB TV from 14:00. The match will be officiated by referee Vanessa Previsic, who will be making her debut as a head referee in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga.

For us, it's a very important game, but we want to focus on our own performance. The opponents are tough and will give their all at home, so we have to bring the right intensity, courage, and concentration onto the pitch right from the start. Of course, we know what's possible. The crucial thing will be that we stick to our game plan.
