Bijol Gets 8, Perri With 7.5 | Leeds United Players Rated In Penalty Shootout Win Vs Birmingham City

Leeds United faced off against Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a win in the FA Cup. The Whites made a solid start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Lukas Nmecha scored the opening goal in the 49th minute. However, Patrick Roberts equalised for Birmingham in the 89th minute, which took the game to extra time.
Both teams cancelled each other out in extra time as the match went to penalties.

GK: Lucas Perri – 7.5/10
Perri made a few solid saves during the game and pulled off a great stop in the shootout.
CB: Sebastiaan Bornauw – 6.5/10
He made a slow start to the game but put in a better showing in the second half.
CB: Jaka Bijol – 8/10
Bijol was a rock at the back and dealt with the danger when needed.
CB: Gabriel Gudmundsson – 7/10
He put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.

RM: Wilfried Gnonto – 6/10
Gnonto caught the eye at times but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CM: Sean Longstaff – 7/10
He worked hard at the centre of the park and managed to score his penalty in the shootout.
CM: Ao Tanaka – 6/10
Tanaka did his best to protect his backline but failed to impress this afternoon.
LM: James Justin – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well and was a strong presence in the air.
RAM: Facundo Buonanotte – 5.5/10
Buonanotte was a bit sloppy on the ball, but never looked like he would score.
LAM: Noah Okafor – 6.5/10
He managed to shine at times in the final third but had to be substituted due to a hamstring problem.
ST: Lukas Nmecha – 7/10
Nmecha was a real handful for the opposition defenders and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 49th minute.
Substitutes:
CM: Ethan Ampadu – 7.5/10
He added more quality and energy to Leeds’ midfield.
CAM: Brenden Aaronson – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 7/10
He was strong in the air and managed to convert his penalty in the shootout.
ST: Joel Piroe – 6.5/10
Piroe managed to score his penalty.
