According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Bilal El Khannouss' valuation is estimated to have risen since completing a permanent move to Stuttgart in the summer, a development that could benefit Leicester via a sell-on clause.
The Moroccan spent last season on loan with the Bundesliga side after City were relegated from the Premier League. He played 41 times for Stuttgart, scoring nine and assisting seven.
The permanent switch was confirmed in July following the turn of the financial year.
Leicester are understood to have a sell-on clause in the agreement with Stuttgart, though the percentage has not been disclosed.
After a decent World Cup with Morocco, both player and club have started slowly this season, with one win from four and three defeats. Even so, his current transfer value could be as high as €64m, £54.1m, which is significantly more than what Stuttgart paid.
