L’Équipe report that 30-year-old attacker Billy Ketkeophomphone will be returning to French professional football in the coming days, poised to sign a 2-year contract with newly-promoted to Ligue 2 side Dunkerque.
Last autumn, “Ketkeo” signed a short term deal with 3rd division side Cholet after a failed spell with Ligue 2 club Auxerre following his exit from Angers in 2018, where he experienced Ligue 1 football.
The race came down to a two-horse situation, with Grenoble vigorously fighting with Sporting Director at Dunkerque, Max Marty, to bring the player in.
Ketkeophomphone arrives on a free transfer.
