The passionate Blues owner, who is behind the planning for the new Birmingham Sports Quarter, including within it a brand-new 62,000-capacity stadium, and who is also responsible for the recent fanfare around the club, was hospitalised on Wednesday.

A statement from the club reassured fans that Wagner was receiving "excellent care," was "making a good recovery," and that they were looking forward to welcoming him back to the club once his recovery was over.

For many, Wagner has brought excitement back to Birmingham City, and there arguably isn't a more popular owner in the entire EFL than the American.

Therefore, numerous Bluenoses want to gather to show their support at their next home game on Sunday, and the club's official supporters group has revealed how they plan to do so.

As per the official Birmingham City Supporters Group on X, the team are "in contact with suppliers" over the creation of a banner to show support towards owner Tom Wagner ahead of this Sunday's FA Cup match with last season's Championship champions, Leeds United.

The post also encourages fans to donate to the creation of this banner if they can, and the remaining money left over from the banner's design will be donated to the Stroke Association.

The group is also encouraging a minute's applause for their owner, too, on the 13th minute, which is Wagner's lucky number.

It's an incredible show of respect to someone who clearly means a lot to the Birmingham fanbase, and it's a sign of the family culture that the American businessman has cultivated during his time at the club, especially in the last 18 months.

In an era where the majority of fans are displeased with their current ownership, it's refreshing to see the atmosphere at Birmingham under the leadership of Tom Wagner.

Not many owners are as dedicated to their club as Wagner, who has many times been seen in away crowds supporting the club, and even going as far as to give fans half-time pep talks in a game against Wrexham back in October.

The majority of modern Birmingham fans live in nostalgia for their success in the late 2000s and very early 2010s, and before Tom Wagner came in, it seemed that the Blues were destined to languish in the Championship for a lot longer.

Now, though, the goal is the Premier League, and then even becoming one of the biggest clubs in the world, and that goal has been made possible by the backing of their current owner.

Blues fans will be relieved to hear that Wagner is making his recovery, and in the meantime, they're all banding together to show their support and show how much he means to them.
