Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers drew 2-2 at Fratton Park, lifting the visitors from 18th to 16th in the Championship and nudging the hosts down from 17th to 18th.

In the fourth minute Zak Swanson swept a left-footed finish into the bottom corner to give Portsmouth the perfect start.

Oladapo Afolayan levelled (11.), drilling in after Harry Pickering's corner was recycled.

After the restart Ryoya Morishita put Blackburn Rovers ahead from close range (56.) via Afolayan's assist. Portsmouth then lost Conor Shaughnessy to injury (63.). John Mousinho introduced Colby Bishop (71.) and the striker promptly prodded in the equaliser from Ryan Kavuma-McQueen's break (74.).

Jayden Fevrier nearly won it for the visitors, but Daniel Bielica saved his low effort (84.).

Portsmouth produced 20 attempts and forced nine corners as they pressed late on. Blackburn Rovers were efficient, hitting five shots on target from eight attempts and making 40 clearances.
