Oliver Casey has explained leaving Leeds United for Blackpool.
Despite the security of two more seasons under the wing of Marcelo Bielsa, at the heart of a runaway under-23 project, Casey wanted to take the bull by the horns and follow the footsteps of his mentors.
“You just have to look at Leeds, really," he told LeedsLive. “Luke Ayling, he's a massive example of it. There's loads of other players, Coops.
“They've all done it. Gone down to make a name for themselves and worked their way back up. That's what I'm trying to follow.
“I spoke to Bill and Coops most and they both told me it would be really good for me and a really good move to go and show people what I'm about."
