Bobby Duncan’s move from Liverpool to Fiorentina looks as if it will finally happen before Monday’s deadline.
And according to a story in the Mirror, the reason for the breakthrough in negotiations is quite a simple one – his agent is no longer a part of the deal.
Saif Rubie issued an explosive statement last week accusing the Reds of ‘bullying’ the teenage striker and not looking after his mental health.
That accusation was strongly denied by the club but it seems now as if Duncan will get his move.
Fiorentina are willing to pay €2m for the goalscorer with the Reds getting a percentage of any sell-on value.
Apparently Rubie had been told by all three parties to leave the negotiations, which smoothed through talks, meaning it will happen before tonight’s deadline.
