Boca Juniors have confirmed Claudio Úbeda’s departure as first-team coach. The club said in a statement that he and his staff have left, and thanked them for their professionalism.
The announcement ends his spell after 34 matches in charge. His record stands at 18 wins, seven draws and nine defeats.
Boca scored 51 goals and conceded 24 during the period, a clear positive balance. Even so, the overall campaign was not enough to sustain the project in the long term.
The decision formalises a development that had been widely anticipated around the club. It also closes another chapter in the dugout.
With the exit confirmed, Juan Román Riquelme and Marcelo Delgado will focus on appointing a new coach to lead the upcoming challenges.
