Boca Juniors name 24 for Olimpia friendly, with absentees | OneFootball

Head coach Claudio Úbeda has named a 24-man Boca Juniors squad for a pre-season friendly against Olimpia of Paraguay, with several notable absentees. Several were also missing against Millonarios.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the squad will base in Rosario, staying at the Hotel Pullman at the Casino City Center, before travelling for the match. The selection aims to give minutes to as many players as possible.

Edinson Cavani, Milton Giménez, Rodrigo Battaglia and Carlos Palacios are in the treatment room and will not be risked as they recover from injuries.

By technical decision, youngsters Sebastián Díaz Robles, Mateo Mendía, Santiago Dalmasso and Joaquín Ruiz are not travelling and will continue working in Buenos Aires.

Mendía and Dalmasso are close to being announced by Platense, and both will join on a one-year loan.

The fixture is scheduled for Sunday 18 January at 21:00 at Estadio San Nicolás, with coverage on Disney+ Premium.
