Boca came from behind to beat Recoleta 3-1 at Tomás A. Ducó in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana round of 16 first leg, with Rodolfo Arruabarrena’s side responding after the break.

The visitors had a man sent off around the interval, and Boca struck twice through Santiago Ascacibar and Milton Delgado, before Leonel Flores smashed in the third. LaNumer12.com.ar issued player ratings that underlined the turnaround.

Flores, rated nine, was the standout, scoring and drawing the first dismissal after being elbowed. Ascacibar, rated eight, continued his scoring run to four in a row. Delgado, also eight, netted with a fine header.

Captain Leandro Paredes earned seven, influential in possession though set pieces remain an issue. Tomás Aranda took seven, stylish but still without a goal. Miguel Merentiel, seven, had a finish ruled out for offside, hit the post and teed up Flores with a backheel.

At the back, Álvaro Montero was given five after a weak response on the opener despite one key save. Leandro Lozano six, Lautaro Di Lollo five, Ayrton Costa five and Lautaro Blanco five were solid if unspectacular, with Marco Pellegrino adding a steady six.

Sebastián Villa seven delivered two telling crosses despite erratic delivery. From the bench, Kevin Zenón struggled, rated three, while Ángel Romero impressed in flashes for six with Recoleta down to nine. Arruabarrena received a perfect 10 for his selection, in-game reading and restoring belief.
