Boca player ratings in the draw against Racing

A worrying draw for Boca. Úbeda’s team played a hard-fought battle in midfield and failed to set the pace in a match that ended goalless. The blue and gold side have now gone three games without a win.

His only intervention in the match was a great save that kept the Xeneize from defeat.

Marcelo Weigandt (5)

Returned to the starting eleven after Barinaga’s poor performances and held his own in the match.

Lautaro Di Lollo (6)

Had good defensive recoveries and was the only player to create danger with a header.

Ayrton Costa (6)

Like his teammate, he didn’t suffer from opposing attacks. He received an elbow from Maravilla that should have been a red card.

Despite his natural position, he played as a right midfielder and failed to make a difference on his side.

The former Estudiantes player still can’t adjust to a team that is struggling significantly in midfield. He tries, but can’t find his place or connect with his teammates.

Milton Delgado (6)

The young Xeneize was the team’s best player in the match. He was solid defensively and handled the ball better than his midfield teammates. Like the other youngsters, he was among the standouts.

Kept his spot in the starting eleven, playing on the left in a midfield full of central midfielders. He still hasn’t settled in, though his substitution was more due to a tactical change than his performance.

Miguel Merentiel (4)

Once again paired with a new partner up front and his performance still hasn’t taken off. He had some touches, but couldn’t turn them into danger and failed to create scoring chances.

Edinson Cavani (3)

After a long injury layoff, he returned to the starting lineup. The main concern is his condition, as it’s clear he still has doubts after a very difficult recovery for the Uruguayan.

The substitutions aimed to bring fresh energy to a team that struggled on the pitch. A bit of youth was enough for the Xeneize to generate some danger in a match that had almost no attacking action.

Claudio Úbeda (4)

Switched to playing with two center forwards and a midfield made entirely of central midfielders. His team played a poor match, was outplayed by Racing at various points, and drew goalless for the third consecutive game without a win. The fans once again voiced their displeasure and criticized the poor performance of his side.
