Boca unveil new alternate shirt inspired by club origins | OneFootball

Boca unveiled on Thursday a new alternate shirt, drawing on the club's early years and a later era.

According to SuperDepor.com, the presentation took place at La Bombonera, with a special event in the refurbished Platea L and a projection across the stadium boxes.

The design features a white base with thin navy vertical stripes and details intended to reclaim historic identity. It nods to the 1906 strip, a white shirt with dark lines, and to the 2006/07 alternate worn by Juan Román Riquelme during his return and in the year of the club's most recent Copa Libertadores triumph.

The shirt adds a crew neck and navy cuffs, the traditional three stripes on the shoulders and the classic Trefoil logo. The Boca crest appears without stars, a distinguishing touch for this edition. The fabric uses Climacool technology to aid ventilation during exercise.

The launch carried a concept that linked La Boca's roots with every fan, connecting the design to the neighbourhood's history and the influence of Genoese immigrants on xeneize identity. The shirt goes on sale from Friday. Boca have not confirmed its on pitch debut, it would not be used against Lanús in the Torneo Clausura and could debut against Vélez in the Copa Argentina round of 16.
