Despite being initially expected to start, Hakan Calhanoglu won’t be able to help his teammates at the Aspmyra Stadion due to a muscle injury.

Cristian Chivu used the 32-year-old playmaker as a second-half substitute against Juventus on Saturday.

However, the Turk’s lengthy spell on the sidelines took a toll, ruling him out for tonight’s clash

With Calhanoglu in the pits, Chivu will reportedly turn to Nicolo Barella to fill the void, leaving Piotr Zielinski on the bench.

Meanwhile, second-string midfielder Frattesi is out with illness, meaning Petar Sucic is likely to make his third straight UEFA Champions League start.

Frattesi has only made one European start this season, so Chivu is unlikely to lose much sleep over his absence.

Last but not least, Henrikh Mkhitaryan will return to the starting lineup.
