Bordeaux will have their DNCG appeal heard on 15 July, when the club will learn whether their exclusion from the national leagues stands.

According to L'Équipe, the Scapular club is due before the DNCG appeals commission following a first-instance ruling on 30 June by the federal commission.

If that decision is upheld, Bordeaux would have to restart at best in Régional one, the sixth tier.

To be readmitted to National one, the fourth tier, the club must place about nine million euros in an escrow account to finance next season, including debt repayments in the continuation plan.

The funding would come via a loan of around 10 million euros from Sparta, a British investment fund that has indicated a willingness to take a 66% stake. If the nine million euros are not deposited, Bordeaux would be relegated to the regional level.
