Borussia Dortmund are exploring a loan deal for Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri, according to Patrick Berger

With the news that BVB newcomer Giannis Konstantelias will be sidelined with an ACL injury, the club are now looking at potential replacements.

As such, Dortmund are now looking at the 19-year-old attacking midfielder/winger as an option. It’s not the first time that Dortmund has scouted out Nwaneri. In fact, the Bundesliga side were in discussion over a loan deal last year, but neither club could agree on terms, and therefore, talks broke down.

Nwaneri is no stranger to a loan move and spent last winter in France with Olympique Marseille. The 19-year-old played 11 times for the French club in all competitions, scoring twice and assisting once.

From Dortmund’s side, no final decision has been made yet, and they are also looking at alternatives just in case.

With the transfer window closing tomorrow, Dortmund’s time is running out if they want a last-minute replacement for the injured Konstantelias.
