Borussia Dortmund ‘interested in’ Joane Gadou, with Nikolaus Wurmbrand also scouted

Borussia Dortmund are tracking Red Bull Salzburg defender Joane Gadou, with Rapid Vienna winger Nikolaus Wurmbrand also on their radar, according to Sky Germany.

Sporting director Sebastian Kehl was seen in Vienna yesterday at Rapid Vienna’s meeting with Red Bull Salzburg.

Gadou, 19, is under contract until 2029. He joined Salzburg from Paris Saint-Germain for a little over €10 million, and PSG are said to hold a buy-back clause.

There have been no concrete talks yet between Dortmund and the centre-back, though interest from the Bundesliga club has been established.

The report adds that Wurmbrand, 20, has been scouted. He has made 20 Austrian Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring 4 goals.
