Borussia Dortmund plan to offer increased bid for Said El Mala | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund are preparing a new offer – which is expected to be submitted this week – to Cologne for attacker Said El Mala, according to Sky Germany.

The new offer is expected to be €40m plus bonuses, an increase on their previous €34m plus €10m bid, which would be Dortmund’s third offer to their Bundesliga counterparts.

However, Cologne are holding out for an initial €50m after Premier League outfit Brentford submitted a total package worth €55m for their prized asset. It’s noted that El Mala, in the event of leaving his current club, only wants to join BVB despite interest from other clubs.

Cologne are likely to stand firm on their €50m stance but with concrete interest, Dortmund remain determined to sign the highly rated winger, who had an impressive 2025/26 season – his first in the Bundesliga – at Cologne where he managed to grab 13 goals and provide four assists in Germany’s top flight.
