Fort seems to be particularly close to a move away from the club, as he has been strongly linked with the German side Borussia Dortmund in the last few days. Recent reports on the subject claim that he has already decided to sign for the German side, despite interest from other sides like Real Sociedad, and now the Bundesliga club will have to negotiate with the Blaugranes to complete his transfer.

For this purpose, Mundo Deportivo reports that representatives from Borussia Dortmund are already in Barcelona to finalize this transfer.

The Blaugranes are looking to get between €15 and €20 million for their defender, but can agree to a lower fee, around €10 million, if they decide to keep some future options on him. This is quite a reasonable amount for a player who has already played 30 games for the Blaugrana first team, and another 17 games for Elche, the side he joined on loan last season.

Hopefully, this transfer operation will be completed as soon as possible, so the player and both the involved clubs can start focusing on the new season. If this move materializes, this will be a very good opportunity for Hector Fort to play for a side that is known throughout Europe for their development work with young players, and hopefully, the defender will take full advantage of it.
