Real Sociedad sound out Héctor Fort as right-back option | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have explored a move for Barcelona right-back Héctor Fort as they weigh defensive options, although centre-back remains the priority. According to Diario Vasco, the Basque club have made initial enquiries to gauge his contract situation.

Fort, 20, is set to leave Barcelona after Flick informed him in recent days he is not in his plans. He impressed last season at Elche.

A deal looks unlikely for Real because Barcelona want a permanent transfer and are quoting between 10 and 15 million. The Catalan club are not open to a loan.

With Real Madrid cashing in on academy players, Barcelona aim to maximise fees for footballers such as Fort.
