A new report from Fichajes has added fuel to Real Madrid’s summer plans, revealing that Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi has become Xabi Alonso’s preferred target to strengthen the right side of the attack.
With Franco Mastantuono emerging as a long-term option but still needing competition, Alonso believes Adeyemi is the profile who can immediately elevate the team’s depth and spark a more dynamic edge in the final third.
Notably, the Borussia Dortmund speedster has already hinted that he could leave Dortmund at the end of the season, and his representatives have reportedly taken the first step by offering him to Real Madrid.
People close to the club claim that Alonso views him as a player capable not only of competing for minutes but also of reshaping the attacking structure for the future.
Adeyemi’s numbers this season back up a strong belief.
With three goals and three assists in 13 appearances across the Bundesliga and the Champions League, he has shown consistency in both build-up play and final execution.

His pace, directness and defensive contribution make him a well-rounded wide player, something Madrid value highly as they look to maintain intensity across all competitions.
His contract at Dortmund runs until 2027, meaning that any negotiation in 2026 would be relatively easier for Real Madrid to follow.
Talks between Borussia Dortmund and Adeyemi’s agent, Jorge Mendes, are already underway. The decisive topic is the release clause that the player wants inserted into his next contract.
Adeyemi’s side wants flexibility for a future exit, while Dortmund are cautious about lowering their leverage.
Should these conversations break down, Real Madrid are ready to take advantage and prepare a formal bid next summer, especially as the final years of his deal begin to reduce Dortmund’s negotiation power.
