Borussia Dortmund sporting director ready to ‘pick up the phone’ and negotiate Aarón Anselmino’s permanent purchase from Chelsea | OneFootball

As Chelsea loanee Aarón Anselmino begins to establish himself as a permanent fixture in the Borussia Dortmund starting XI, the question as to whether the young Argentine’s Bundesliga outfit wishes to purchase him permanently crops up. BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl was asked about just that in the mixed zone last night after Dortmund defeated Bayer Leverkusen away 1-2.

Kehl cited Dortmund’s recent history with Chelsea asked about Anselmino by Westphalia’s Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper. It is known that the 20-year-old’s loan arrangement does not contain a purchase clause. Such was nevertheless also the case with the loan deal involving Anselmino’s fellow Chelsea professional Carney Chukwuemeka. 

Dortmund were able to successfully finalize Chukwuemeka’s permanent purchase at the same time they negotiated Anselmino’s loan deal. Kehl, albeit a tad pejoratively, noted that he was ready to get back into contract with the Premier League outfit’s front office. If Anselmino can keep up his current form, he’ll count as quite the bargain with an estimated market value of €8m.

“I’ll certainly have to pick up the phone over the next few days and given them a call,” Kehl remarked in response to the RN reporter’s question. “We have a very good relationship with Chelsea FC.“
