Borussia Dortmund have been linked with Benjamin Pavard, with a possible Bundesliga return for the former Stuttgart and Bayern defender mooted for the summer.
Bild reports that Dortmund's hierarchy are keeping tabs on the Inter Milan defender's situation, although the interest is described as a light-touch watch on his progress.
Pavard is on loan at Olympique Marseille from Inter, and the Ligue 1 club are considered unlikely to trigger their purchase option for the 29-year-old. That could make him available again in the next window, raising the possibility of a Bundesliga return with Dortmund.
Despite being a regular in Ligue 1, there is uncertainty over whether he will be with France at the 2026 World Cup in North America. His last international appearance came on 17 November 2024 against Italy, and he has not been involved in Didier Deschamps' squads since.
Any absence from the trip to the USA, Canada and Mexico could lower his price, which could suit BVB financially.
