Borussia Mönchengladbach have activated the purchase option on Swedish attacker Hugo Bolin (22), who has signed a permanent contract until June 2030.
“Hugo is a character who has integrated outstandingly well here from day one and has fully embraced Borussia,” said Head of Sports Rouven Schröder.
“He is working on himself with real focus and, in his first appearances, he has shown that he can bring us plenty of joy in the future too.”
The Swede added: “I feel very much at home here. I love the energy this big club gives off, and I love the Bundesliga with its big, full stadiums.
“I’ve been able to experience two home wins at Borussia-Park recently and celebrate with the team and the fans – that makes you want more, and I’m looking forward to continuing my development here at Borussia.”
After joining the Foals on loan from Malmö FF in January, Bolin has played six Bundesliga games – featuring in every top flight game since his arrival, providing one assist in Gladbach’s 1-0 win over Union Berlin on Matchday 24.
