Borussia Mönchengladbach have appointed Alexander Blessin as head coach on a contract running to 2028, replacing Eugen Polanski, who was relieved of his duties earlier this month.
According to BuLi News, Blessin will be presented at a Wednesday afternoon press conference at Borussia-Park, with sporting director Rouven Schröder in attendance.

The 53-year-old previously worked in RB Leipzig’s academy, then led KV Oostende, Genoa, Union Saint-Gilloise and FC St. Pauli.
He left St. Pauli after the club were relegated from the Bundesliga last season.
Blessin arrives with Die Fohlen bottom of the Bundesliga, without a point after four games of the 2026/27 campaign.
