Botafogo are negotiating a deal for FC Porto B midfielder Domingos Andrade, with the Portuguese club seeking a higher fee for the Angola international.
According to O Jogo, Botafogo have lodged a formal offer of 1.2 million euros, which Porto consider below the player’s value. Discussions with the Brazilian side, coached by Portuguese manager Franclim Carvalho, are set to continue in search of common ground.
Andrade is due to report to João Brandão on Monday. At 23, he falls into the over-age bracket for the B team, which can register and use only up to three such players per team sheet, so Porto are open to a sale at what they deem a fair price.
A year ago, Konyaspor from Türkiye offered 1 million euros for Andrade, a bid Porto rejected. The Turkish club returned in January but again failed to land the player.
Andrade has spent two seasons with Porto B, making 28 appearances and scoring once last term. He came through Interclube in Angola, moved to Sporting where he mainly featured for the under-23s, then spent a season at Felgueiras before joining Porto for 250,000 euros.
