Boulaye Dia ‘to join’ Rennes on loan with automatic purchase option

Rennes are finalising a deal with Lazio for Franco-Senegalese forward Boulaye Dia, a loan that includes an automatic purchase option.

According to Le Parisien, the agreement features a loan fee of two million euros and an automatic option set at eight million, with a few details still to be resolved.

Aged 29 and formerly of Reims, Dia’s profile as a central striker would strengthen Rennes’ attacking options.

If completed, the move would end Rennes’ pursuit of Lens forward Odsonne Édouard.

The forward is expected in Brittany once the paperwork is concluded.
