Bournemouth boss insists Chelsea target will not leave before window shuts | OneFootball

Bournemouth boss Marco Rose is adamant Alex Scott will remain at the club despite interest from Chelsea.

The 22-year-old midfielder enjoyed an impressive campaign last season and has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes.

But Rose insists he has no doubts over Scott’s future on the south coast.

“I’m not just confident, I am sure,” Rose said. “Is there 120 per cent? I am sure.”

Scott has established himself as an important player for Bournemouth since joining the club from Bristol City, and Rose believes the midfielder can continue to improve.

“It is what it is. We know this business. He played a top season,” he said.

“Everyone knows what he does for this club and what we get from him, so we support him to play another brilliant season.

“He’s keen to play another brilliant season, and he’s still young enough to make big steps because I see no ceiling for his capabilities.”
