Bournemouth to host AC Milan after Europa League league phase draw | OneFootball

Bournemouth will make their European debut after the Europa League league phase draw set up four home and four away ties.

According to Bournemouth Echo, Friday’s Monaco ceremony used an automated one-button computer draw, with ties revealed pot by pot.

Home ties are against AC Milan, Viktoria Plzen, Sturm Graz and Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Away trips are to Real Sociedad, Sparta Prague, Celta Vigo and Lillestrom.

The new league phase, introduced in the 2024/25 season, replaces the old group stage and places all 32 clubs in a single table. Each side plays four at home and four away against eight different opponents.

Teams finishing in the top eight reach the round of 16, while those in ninth to 24th enter two-legged play-offs.

All knockout ties are two legs, followed by quarter-finals and semi-finals, with the final to be staged in Frankfurt next May.

They qualified via last season’s sixth-placed Premier League finish. Head coach Marco Rose took RB Salzburg to the Europa League semi-finals in 2017/18 and has overseen 69 European games with Salzburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
