Bournemouth are pushing to sign Vasco da Gama forward Rayan and could overtake Lazio in the chase, according to Matteo Moretto.
La Lazio Siamo Noi reports that Lazio have lodged a proposal worth €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses and a 50% sell-on clause, but Vasco da Gama want €35 million.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of Brazil’s standout prospects. He has 64 top-flight appearances with 16 goals and one assist.
Lazio have pursued the left-footed forward as a potential replacement for Matteo Cancellieri, who has reportedly agreed to join Brentford pending an agreement between the clubs.
Lazio hope the Brazilian club’s need to raise funds will aid their bid, yet Bournemouth could offer more favourable terms. The Cherries have already beaten them to young Hungarian midfielder Alex Toth by submitting a higher offer to Ferencvaros, so a repeat cannot be ruled out.
