Crystal Palace starlet Tayo Adaramola spent the latter half of this season with the Bantams, and the club could be keen on bringing him back into the fold. As reported in the T&A, a potential deal would have been impossible had Graham Alexander’s side failed to secure a return to the third tier after six years. However, after doing so in dramatic fashion on the last day of the season, Palace may be willing to let Adaramola continue his development at the club.

Palace will be impressed with the player

The young full-back began the season at League One Stockport but failed to get sufficient game time, featuring in only six league games for The Hatters. Adaramola then joined Bradford in January until the end of the season, in what became his fourth loan spell away from his parent club.

Seen as a key driver behind City's promotion success, Adaramola immediately became a hit with the Valley Parade crowd. In his 16 league games for City he notched three assists, proving to be a strong addition. His electric pace going forward, and robust defending capabilities, meant that City could optimise their attacking strengths without compromising the backline. This will be something that Palace will keep an eye on, sparking resemblances with first-team wing-back Tyrick Mitchell.

Following his side’s promotion, Adaramola spoke of his pride in his performances, referring to the crowd’s fondness for him, via the T&A: "Obviously I have to give credit to myself as well because you have to play well and perform for them to like you."

For the Irish U21 International, the way in which the team succeeded became an added layer to his enjoyment at the club: "When I speak to people, they still don’t believe it with the rollercoaster games and performances."

Given the love that he received, the Irish under-21 international would find it hard to come by such a supportive fanbase as Bradford’s, so could be swayed if given the opportunity to return to West Yorkshire.

City certainly won’t be the only club vying for his signature next season though. Palace have high hopes for their prospect and may be keen to loan the defender to a higher level.

One thing that could work in Bradford’s favour is the massive crowds that they draw, similar to that of Crystal Palace in the Premier League. In fact, Bradford’s highest attendance this season of 24,033 against Fleetwood was just shy of Palace’s current 24/25 high of 25,185 versus Liverpool. With Adaramola’s progression in mind, there was no better club than City for him to get a taste of what Premier League life could be like, and the Eagles may view a return as beneficial in this sense.

While no official confirmation of Bradford’s interest has yet come to light, it is likely that the club are keeping tabs on any potential opening for Adaramola’s services.

In the meantime, City will be preparing for a massive summer to bolster their League One hopes in the upcoming season. That promotion has certainly strengthened their hand, particularly when it comes to potentially convincing Palace to send Adaramola back their way.
