Bradley Barcola confident to secure club-record Liverpool transfer | OneFootball

PSG winger Bradley Barcola (23), as well as his entourage, is confident to secure a long-awaited transfer to Liverpool FC before the end of the summer transfer window, according to L’Equipe. The back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners and the Premier League giants are locked in talks for weeks regarding the transfer of Barcola, who has already agreed personal terms with Andoni Iraola’s Reds. The outlet understands that the gap in valuation has narrowed, and the length of the process is nothing abnormal given the sums at stake.

PSG previously turned down a €115m offer from Liverpool. But for the final stretch of the transfer window, Liverpool wait to see whether PSG would agree to lower their demands before submitting an ‘acceptable‘ offer. L’Equipe reports that nobody involved in the deal is in panic mode, and certainly not Barcola. The outlet adds that the player and his entourage remain confident that an agreement will be reached between Liverpool and PSG.

Barcola’s transfer fee is expected to surpass the league-record €100m outlay from Manchester City to sign Lille’s midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. It would make Barcola the most lucrative sale to a foreign club in Ligue 1’s history, and also PSG’s record sale, eclipsing Al-Hilal’s €90m purchase of Neymar three years ago.
