According to a report from Fabrice Hawkins, Bradley Barcola (23) will be unavailable for Paris Saint-Germain’s 1st leg Champions League quarter-final tie against Liverpool. This is despite the French international forward returning to training.

The former Lyon forward has been suffering from an ankle injury, which was set to keep him out for a few weeks. However, the 23-year-old has recovered from his injury woes much quicker than expected, which is a positive for the Ligue 1 champions. Nevertheless, he won’t be available for Wednesday night’s fixture against the Premier League champions.

Barcola to be assessed in the coming days

Whilst he has returned to training, PSG seem to be taking a cautious approach to his return to the pitch. Les Parisiens’ fitness staff will assess Barcola’s condition in the coming days before making a final decision about his availability for selection.
