Braga host Estrela Amadora in Liga Portugal at Estádio Municipal de Braga on Saturday, 16 May 2026, with the hosts protecting fourth place and a Conference League spot while the visitors look to stay clear of the relegation play-off.
The reverse fixture finished 3-3 in January, and another open game would suit Braga's attacking return, set against Estrela's need for points near the bottom.
Braga have drawn their last two league matches, 1-1 against Estoril and 2-2 at Benfica. Estrela halted a four-game losing run with a goalless draw against Famalicão after defeats by Sporting CP, Arouca, Porto and Moreirense.
The hosts list Florian Grillitsch, Sikou Niakate, Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi and Diego Rodrigues as injured, so Carlos Vicens may need to shuffle his defensive and midfield options.
Across the season, Braga average 63% possession with 87.28% passing accuracy and have scored 62 league goals, including 54 from inside the box. Rodrigo Zalazar has 16 league goals and Ricardo Horta 14. Estrela have conceded 54 and kept eight clean sheets, but they do deliver a high volume of open-play crosses at 22.83% accuracy, with Jovane Borges on seven league goals and Kikas on six, while Marcus has five assists and 10 goal involvements.
A home win would move Braga to 61 points and further strengthen their grip on fourth and European qualification. Victory for Estrela would take them to 32 points. They start 15th and level on 29 with 16th-placed Casa Pia, so any result could be pivotal in staying above the relegation play-off.
