Braulio Vázquez joined Valencia CF’s return to training in Paterna after their first win of the season at Mendizorroza, taking a hands-on role as the club seeks stability.
He had already visited the team hotel in Vitoria immediately after departing Osasuna, then stayed close to staff and players at the first session back. Footage from À Punt Radio’s El Partit de la Una showed him speaking with Javi Venta, a member of Óscar Sánchez’s staff.
Vázquez is positioning himself as anything but a passive director, aiming to stay across the squad’s needs. His priority is appointing a head coach, a delicate and urgent call, then providing support in the market to help lift the team. He has already set to work.
With Wednesday’s bad weather easing, Valencia held a light, regenerative session at the Ciudad Deportiva. Vázquez observed the recovery work for the starters from that win over Deportivo Alavés.
Attention now turns to Sunday’s meeting with Real Sociedad, who play in Europe and will arrive more tired. Valencia aim to reach the break in a calmer, more positive place, setting up a mini pre-season of more than two weeks for the new coach.
