Brazil squad named for friendlies against Australia and India

Coach Carlo Ancelotti called up a total of 26 players this Wednesday (9) for Brazil’s first matches after the World Cup. Ten of them play in Brazilian football. He announced the list at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation in Rio, where he then gave a press conference.

In the first call-up after the World Cup, Brazil will play two matches against Australia and one against India. On September 25, they will face the Australians at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville at 7 a.m. (Brasília time). They will take on the hosts again on the 29th at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, also at 7 a.m. (Brasília time).

Next, the Seleção will play its first-ever match against India on October 3 at 11 a.m. Brasília time (7:30 p.m. local time) at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium (known as Salt Lake) in Kolkata.

The head of delegation for the Brazilian National Team during this FIFA international window will be Rubens Lopes, president of the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation (FERJ).
